Free property mapping workshop using Avenza Maps – no expertise required

We’re hosting free workshops to teach you how to use the Avenza Maps app.

Did you know you can use your smartphone to navigate, collect data and map your property – all without mobile reception?

CHRRUP and Desert Channels Queensland are joining forces to host some property mapping workshops in Longreach in 2025.

  • The hands-on workshops will include demonstrations and activities using Avenza app (available for both iOS and Android).
  • Learn all essential features, including how to import and download maps, place pins, record GPS tracks, and navigate offline
  • Collecting field data and mapping, plus integrating data sources for more detailed maps
  • Get comfortable using the key features of Avenza.
  • Useful for land managers, field workers and anyone working in remote areas.

Free sessions on Wednesday, 10 September (choose either 9am-12,1-3pm or 6-8pm) at 92 Galah Street (Desert Channels Queensland).
