Description
The Aboriginal Way Map tells the story of the Traditional Owners who lived and worked on the Lake Eyre Basin.
It is the culmination of centuries of spoken knowledge and cultural heritage, including Aboriginal stories, songlines, trade routes, and language groups. The map results from a six-year mapping project and all knowledge on the map was obtained in consultation with local Aboriginal groups and elders.
The map is very popular and shows rivers, mountains, placenames in Indigenous languages and English, major Aboriginal population centres, trade routes, roads, waterholes, a legend and a locality map
…
The Aboriginal Way Map is a high-quality, A0 size map suitable for your shed, office, meeting room or classroom. All proceeds go into the Desert Channels Foundation to invest in the future of the Lake Eyre Basin.
