Our people-first policy sees us focussed on our clients and our team. We pride ourselves in understanding client needs and providing innovative, cost-effective solutions. Our experienced team operates under comprehensive OHS policies and procedures including remote area travel and safety.
WHAT WE DO
DC Solutions delivers innovative services across rural and remote areas, specialising in tailored, value for money environmental solutions to landholders, industry, local government, business and community groups, as well as state and Australian governments.
Our friendly, professional team has decades of experience in:
- weed control (survey, mapping, planning, works, project management)
- feral animal control (survey, mapping, planning, works, project management)
- data collection and analysis (surveys, custom app development, mapping)
- flora and fauna surveys (desktop, remote sensed, in-field)
- environmental services (Spotter Catcher, damage mitigation)
- vegetation management (RE verification, vegetation map changes, trigger maps)
Can you afford to delay weed control? Every year without action sees the problem, and the control costs, get bigger.
DC Solutions can provide a hassle-free, cost-effective solution to your weed problem.
Weed control is the pointy end of the stick: once the exact location, extent and trend of the infestation has been determined through survey and mapping, and a clear and simple strategic, operational plan developed, the action can start. And this is the part we all like, because this is where it really feels like we’re getting somewhere.
At DC Solutions, we not only plan and implement weed control programs, our team of certified field operators have the skills, expertise and experience to do the job, and do it right. We record where we treat, and produce a map, so you can have confidence in where we’ve been and what we’ve done. We also have specialist equipment for roadsides, off-road, and sensitive area work.
Our weed control arsenal includes:
- ATVs with spray units
- Twin hose-reel spray unit with 100 metre hoses
- hand spray units
- 6 metre boom spray
- chemical application drone
- fixed and rotary survey drones
- certified field operators
- remote area operations protocols
- several decades combined experience
- discounted chemicals
- authority to apply chemicals in high-risk areas
The DJI Agras chemical application drone is the latest addition to the arsenal…it can treat weeds in difficult terrain, with very high precision.
FERAL ANIMAL CONTROL
Can you afford to delay control? Are you prepared to wear the drain on production?
If ‘No’, you need DC Solutions — we can provide hassle-free, cost-effective solutions to your feral animal problem.
Also like weeds, feral animals don’t stop at roads, fences, shire boundaries, state borders, or other artificial lines on maps, which is why we have adopted, and specialise in, landscape scale activity.
At DC Solutions, we not only plan and implement feral animal control programs, we have at our disposal, control experts licensed and certified in the appropriate areas. For example, for aerial control of feral pigs, we use only CASA endorsed machines, operators and marksmen.
Our experienced field operators and associates have the skills, expertise and experience to do the job, and do it right.
DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
‘Rubbish in; rubbish out’ is a well-founded computing adage…never is it more true than with data collection and analysis.
You can produce the most comprehensive decision-making tools in the world, but if the input data leaves something to be desired, then so will the finished product. That’s why we place so much store in the way we collect and manage our data — we know how critical it is to the quality of the end product.
Our field officers collect data with smartphone apps, GPS cameras and drones, devices that enable fast and accurate transfer of data for subsequent analysis and action.
- developing project specific applications for both iOS and Android
- field data collection (surveys and monitoring)
- database development (online or offline)
- data analysis
In short, we can customise to meet your needs. We have the tools and expertise to measure most things (stock numbers, weed infestation areas and density, traffic flow, flooding events, erosion, pasture response, habitat extent, species distribution, water quality) and to store, analyze, manage, and present your data.
We specialise in providing quality environmental services to Government departments, local government and industry across rural and remote Australia — give us your problem, and we’ll give you our solution. Our commitment to the environment is as strong as our commitment to providing professional, value service to our clients. Helping you meet your environmental obligations is our primary aim.
We deliver a range of survey, monitoring, planning and management services:
Spotter Catcher – personnel certified under the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection to undertake fauna relocation activities for road clearing and other development.
Damage mitigation – we also undertake damage mitigation assessments for road clearing and other development.
Environmental monitoring – to fulfil approval conditions, due diligence or to meet your specific needs.
